It does not include training to operate a pedestrian-operated truck or a pallet truck. Vertical Horizonz also offers a comprehensive Elevated Work Platform (EWP) training course to help workers safely operate and handle EWP equipment.

PURPOSE

Forklift Licence Training course trains the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a powered industrial truck or forklift, equipped with a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other arms that can be raised to 900 mm or more above the ground.

UNITS OF COMPETENCY

TLILIC0003 – Licence to operate a Forklift Truck

ENTRY CRITERIA

Requirement to demonstrate a level of written and spoken English to do this: Equivalent to Level 1 English communication skills. Attendee must be at least 18 years of age to be able to do this course.

METHOD OF INSTRUCTION

The programme trainers are all experienced practical people. They speak everyday workplace language and have a wealth of real life examples to share with trainees. Trainees are encouraged to ‘have a go’ in a supportive, safe environment.
